A LITTLE ABOUT THE HOTEL
The Hotel ‘Almansor’ is a very special hotel, with a Moorish influence in its décor, nestling in a dramatic location perched above a small cove.
It has a superb double-pool area which overlooks lawns, beautiful gardens, and the cove with spectacular hillside formations – a place for absolute relaxation.
All rooms are equipped to the highest standards, and there are several very comfortable communal lounge areas: Enjoy the bars, restaurant, 24 hr room service, car rental facilities, tobacconists, laundry service, tennis courts, putting green, health club including a heated indoor swimming pool and games room. There is also a golf desk where you can hire all you need for a good round of golf.
All rooms are en-suite, and have a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, safe and free satellite TV.
For a small fee you could treat yourself to a panoramic sea view balcony room, you won’t be sorry.
The function room is extremely large with an 11 x 11 metre dance floor and big round 12 seater tables for your comfort, you can choose where you sit for the first evenings entertainment and that will be your seat/table for the whole week, this ensures you are with your friends whilst making many new ones also.
ALL AROUND YOU
Just a short stroll brings you to Carvoeiro’s delightful small square, with its bars, café’s and restaurants, leading right onto a sandy cove. There are plenty of quaint shops and beautiful sights to see.
Albufeira is about 20 minutes away and so is Portimao. Both these towns have markets and are easily accessible by taxi or bus. You could take a boat trip around the islands from Portimao, or enjoy barbecued sardines etc. in Boneca Bar or one of the street restaurants.
Boneca Bar is better known to those of you who frequented it during one of our past holidays as Carla’s Bar. Carla and her brother George runs this bar/restaurant. They certainly make us welcome with a cool refreshing drink and wonderful food. It is situated in a very small cove just a short stroll from the hotel.
WHAT YOU GET
You will enjoy 7 night’s bed, full breakfast and evening meal plus all the entertainment. If you travel with us, then your flights and transfers are included. If you arrange your own flight, we could supply you with telephone numbers to arrange your transfers.
The day time is free for you to enjoy, explore or just relax in the wonderful hotel. You could have lunch and a drink on the bar or restaurant balconies. You may like to treat yourself to a massage, Turkish bath or a manicure, the choice is yours – YOUR ON HOLIDAY Ye!
We have arranged for a tour operator to offer excursions to our guests. You may want to take a trip on the ‘Santa Bernarda Caravelle’, a 75 foot two mast sailing vessel that resembles a Pirate Ship. Or you could even book to swim with the Dolphins. There will be a wide choice of trips on offer.
Entertainment each evening will be provided by the UK’s finest artistes. This holiday is for all type of dancers including jiggers, the dance floor is huge.
